    What if there is no “one”? I’ve begun to feel that concept alone creates barriers. To be the one and only is a huge burden on mere mortals, I think. What if instead there’s the one who helped me learn to ask for the respect I deserve; and then maybe the one who was stable when I wasn’t able to be; and then the one who showed me its okay to take pleasure for myself…you get the picture.

    • absolutely. it is very scary to envision that there is only one of anything for us. so the idea of finding value in what comes through the many relationships we have in life is such a loving way to go about it. thanks, serena.
